Student tracks down stolen books
The sudden prompting by the school to 'please watch your belongings'
was brought about by the theft of a student's books from
the library Feb. 26. A formal complaint was filed the same day
with the Waukesha City Police Dept. When contacted, Captain
Mark Stigler declined comment or the release of information pending
further investigation.…

New degree opportunity at two year campuses
Chancellor DavidWilson of the UW-System is proposing a new Bachelors of Applied Arts and Sciences Degree (BAAS) for two year campuses. This degree is meant to target both adult students and those not transferring to a four year.
Chancellor Wilson will be meeting with the other UW chancellors to see if they are open to the proposal.…

Successful Earth Day Campus Clean-up
On Earth Day, April 22, you might have noticed quite a few students with garbage bags doing their part in cleaning up our campus. Wisconsinites have long been known for
their consumption of alcohol.
While many residents both young and old
choose to abstain from consuming alcohol, a
majority do use alcohol on a regular basis.
With the growing concern of individuals
abusing presciption drugs and the effects that follow, we have to ask, "Are Wisconsin residents more vulnerable to the dangers of mixing alcohol and prescription drugs ?"
When thinking about this question, we need
to realize that this something that requires
