Dine in and pay dine out and save

Thinking back to earlier school days, lunch was always a good time to catch a break from the classroom and chat with some friends. Once college rolls around, the worry of not having people to sit with at lunch turns into the worry of, "Do I have enough money?"
As college students, eating out becomes a new option. Looking at the menu provided at UW-Waukesha, it seems almost more sensible to go outside school grounds for lunch. Getting more specific, a regular hamburger costs $2.52, and if it's a cheeseburger you want, it'll cost even more as it bumps up to an even $3. Compare those burger rates to McDonald's, where a double cheeseburger is only $1. The same can go for the $3.63 grilled chicken sandwiches found in the UW-Waukesha cafeteria, as a chicken sandwich at McDonald's costs only a $1 as well. Student Joel Trepczyk weighed in on which is the better option, "It's definitely a better way to go by eating out. It's a nice break to be able to get out of the school building for a little bit too."
If someone's looking for some grilling out food, then hopefully they're ready to pay $2.31 for just a hotdog. With those prices, people might as well just bring their own supplies to school and grill out themselves. Trepczyk added some more to the issue, "For a whole meal at school it gets a bit expensive…it's like $2 something for a thing of popcorn chicken and if you want a drink, those get kind of pricey themselves."
Just keep in mind, that a whole meal at McDonald's or even Taco Bell, would probably only cost around $5 or so if you order smartly.
