Getting a head start in applying for a summer job is important when you want to make some extra money and have some fun doing it. Rather than working the same old fast-food jobs, you can work at a job where you make an impact on the community or you can listen to live music while you work. So liven things up this summer and check out these seasonal job opportunities.

Waukesha Parks, Recreation & Forestry
The city of Waukesha hires seasonal workers for a variety of jobs in and around the community. Positions include gardener, stockroom maintenance, building maintenance, customer service, lifeguards and teaching youth and adult programs. There are around 280 recreation / pools positions and around 30 grounds maintenance positions available. No experience necessary.

Summerfest - June 25 - July 5
The greatest music festival is looking to hire part-time seasonal help for all shifts (1, 2, and 3). Wages range from $6.75 - $10.00. Positions are available for security, event support, ground crew, and admissions. Must apply online or download a form and mail completed application. Interviews begin at the end of April. Experience preferred but not necessary, will provide training. Must be available to work all 11 days of Summerfest, very important

Wisconsin State Fair - August 6 - 16
Hundreds of seasonal, part-time employees are hired for the annual fair each year. Must be at least 16 years of age and some positions require a background check. Interviews will be conducted first come, first serve on June 13 at the Wisconsin State Fair Park Job Fair from 8a.m. to noon. There are a wide range of positions available and you can go online, download an application and complete in advance or fill one out the day of. Applications will be available online starting in May.
